About Confident & Consistent
Building a business takes more than knowing what to sell. It also means learning to trust your voice, communicate what you do clearly, develop habits you can realistically maintain, and keep moving forward when motivation changes or life gets busy.
Rather than chasing perfection or trying to be everywhere at once, Confident & Consistent encourages a steadier approach — one built around confidence, connection, realistic expectations, and showing up in ways that fit both your business and your life.
Why Confident & Consistent Matters
Many entrepreneurs know what they should be doing, yet still find themselves hesitating.
They may second-guess what to post, compare themselves with others, disappear when business becomes overwhelming, or believe consistency means showing up every day on every platform.
But confidence does not usually arrive before we act. It grows through experience, practice, learning, and continuing to show up even when everything does not feel perfectly polished.
Confident & Consistent is about developing that kind of sustainable confidence — not becoming louder, busier, or more visible simply for the sake of being seen.
It is about becoming clearer about who you are, what you offer, how you want to communicate, and what kind of business you actually want to build.
What You’ll Discover in Confident & Consistent
Throughout the book, readers are encouraged to look at confidence and consistency as skills that can be developed rather than personality traits some people simply have.
You’ll explore ideas around:
- building confidence through action rather than waiting until you feel completely ready
- communicating your message more clearly
- creating realistic habits and routines
- developing consistency without creating burnout
- moving beyond comparison and perfectionism
- showing up in ways that feel natural to you
- strengthening relationships with the people you serve
- using your own experience and voice as part of your business
- continuing forward when motivation, circumstances, or results change
The goal is not perfect consistency.
It is sustainable consistency — the kind you can return to again and again.
Who This Story Is Perfect For
Confident & Consistent is written for entrepreneurs, direct sellers, creators, authors, service providers, and small-business owners who want to become more comfortable and consistent in the way they communicate and grow their business.
It may be especially helpful if you:
feel unsure about what to say online, struggle with comparing yourself to others, start strong and then disappear, overthink your content, feel pressure to be everywhere, or simply want a more manageable way to stay connected with your audience.
You do not need to become the loudest person in the room to build a meaningful business.
You need to become increasingly comfortable being you.
What This Book Encourages
Confident & Consistent encourages a business approach built around progress rather than perfection.
It encourages readers to trust that confidence grows with use, that consistency can look different in different seasons, and that sustainable business habits are far more valuable than short bursts of activity followed by exhaustion.
Most importantly, it encourages entrepreneurs to build from their own strengths instead of constantly trying to copy someone else’s formula.
Your business does not need someone else’s personality.
It needs your voice, your experience, your values, and a way of showing up that you can genuinely sustain.

A Note from Debbie — Why I Wrote This Book
Over the years, I have watched many capable people struggle not because they lacked talent, ideas, or something valuable to offer, but because they did not feel confident enough to keep showing up.
I have also seen how easily the word consistent can become another source of pressure.
We are often told to post more, do more, be visible everywhere, follow the algorithm, create more content, and somehow keep all of it going while also running the rest of our business and living our lives.
That is not the kind of consistency I wanted to write about.
I wanted to explore a quieter, more sustainable kind — one that comes from understanding yourself, developing confidence through experience, and creating habits you can realistically return to.
After decades of working with customers, teams, businesses, and entrepreneurs, I have learned that people rarely need another reason to feel as though they are falling behind.
Sometimes they simply need permission to build differently.
My hope is that Confident & Consistent helps readers find that balance — enough confidence to keep moving forward and enough consistency to allow all those small efforts to begin adding up.
